  17. 3-4 Mediuk size Pabda Fishes
  18. 1/4 cup black mustard paste
  19. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  20. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  21. 1/2 tsp nigella seeds
  22. 2-3 green chilies
  23. as per taste Salt
  24. as required Mustard oil
  25. For Dharosh Bhaji
  26. 4-5 Dharosh
  27. 1 medium size potato
  28. 1/2 tsp nigella seeds
  29. 2-3 grew chillies
  30. as per taste Salt
  31. as per taste Oil

Steps to make to make Durga Saptami Platter

  1. For Mackerel - wash the pieces well, smear salt and set aside for 10 mins. Wash again and smear 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, lime juice.
  2. In a plate make a mix of rice powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and smear the fish pieces one by one.
  3. In a pan heat oil and fry the fish pieces on medium flame. Set aside when done
  4. Potol Bhaaja - wash the Potol, peel and divide into half, smear with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  5. In a pan heat oil and deep fry the Potol. Set aside once done
  6. For Pabda Jhaal - wash the fish pieces and smear with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt, set aside for 10 mins.
  7. In a pan heat oil and fry the fish pieces on medium flame for 2 mins each side. Set aside
  8. In the same pan add nigella seeds, bay leaf, green chilies. Stir few seconds. In a bowl add mustard paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Add 1 cup water
  9. To the fish pieces strain this paste water and add to it, add salt and mix well. Cook covered
  10. Set aside once the consistency is thick.
  11. For Dharosh Bhaaja - cut the edges of the Dharosh after washing, halve them and set aside. Take potatoes, wash and peel and slice them lengthwise. Smear with little salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  12. In a pan heat oil and add nigella seeds, green chillies and add sliced potatoes and Dharosh. Fry them well on medium flame. Add little salt and fry until cooked, set aside
  13. To assemble, plate with steamed rice and add Potol Bhaaja, Dharosh Bhaaja, Mackerel fry, Pabda Jhaal and enjoy
