  1. Marinade fish pieces with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder and salt.

  3. Grind tomatoes, garlic, mustard seeds and half cup of water to a smooth paste.
  4. Heat mustard oil in a pan and deep Fry fish pieces till golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil and keep aside.
  6. Heat mustard oil in a medium size pan.
  7. Splatter fenugreek seeds.
  8. Add tomato garlic paste and saute.
  9. Add turmeric and chilli powder and mix well.
  10. Add salt and cook on high flame till oil starts separate.
  11. Add one and half cups of water, mix well and bring to a boil. Simmer for about ten minutes.
  12. When gravy is done add fried fish pieces and Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
